1. Introduction

This Refund and Cancellation Policy explains the terms under which you may cancel or reschedule appointments and receive refunds for services purchased from miohealth. We aim to deliver a fair and transparent process while maintaining a high standard of service.

2. Scope of This Policy

This policy applies to all clinical services booked via the miohealth website, phone, or in person, including but not limited to:

  • Private GP consultations
  • Full health assessments
  • Diagnostic screenings (e.g., blood tests, imaging)
  • Health packages and aftercare programmes

3. Appointment Cancellations

a) Standard Appointments (e.g. GP Consultations, Health Screens)
  • 48 hours or more in advance: You may cancel or reschedule free of charge. A full refund will be issued.
  • 24–48 hours before appointment: A cancellation fee of 50% of the total fee will apply.
  • Less than 24 hours’ notice or non-attendance (no-show): The full appointment fee will be charged. No refund will be issued.
b) Late Arrivals

If you arrive late, we will do our best to accommodate you within your booked time slot. However:

  • If we are unable to proceed, the appointment will be treated as a late cancellation.
  • Full or partial charges may apply depending on the circumstances and our ability to reallocate the time.

4. Rescheduling Policy

  • You may reschedule up to 48 hours in advance with no charge.
  • Requests made within 24–48 hours may incur a 25% fee.
  • Requests made under 24 hours before the appointment may be treated as a cancellation.

5. Package Services & Multi-Session Bookings

If you have booked a package or a multi-session plan:

  • Unused sessions may be refunded on a pro-rata basis only if cancellation is requested before the second session takes place.
  • Once sessions have commenced, refunds are not typically offered, except in cases of:
    • Long-term medical issues (with proof)
    • Service dissatisfaction (assessed on a case-by-case basis)

6. Refunds for Medical Screenings or Third-Party Diagnostics

Where services involve third-party providers (e.g. blood tests, imaging, specialist referrals):

  • Refunds will only be issued if the cancellation is made before the service is booked with the provider.
  • Once a test or referral has been processed, no refund can be provided for that portion.

7. Exceptional Circumstances

We understand that unavoidable situations occur. If you are unable to attend your appointment due to:

  • Illness or emergency
  • Bereavement
  • Unforeseen circumstances beyond your control

…we may, at our discretion, offer a full or partial refund or a free reschedule. Supporting documentation may be required.

9. Refund Process

  • Approved refunds will be processed within 5–10 working days using the original payment method.
  • If payment was made via third-party processor (e.g. Stripe, PayPal), timing may vary depending on their processing times.

miohealth reserves the right to update or amend this policy at any time. The latest version will always be available on our website.
